Summer Walker's New Album Shows Us How To Break Up, Forget, and Move On Like A Boss
On Friday (Oct.4th) R &B game changer, Summer Walker released her sophomore studio album Over It ( last year she dropped her debut album Last Day of Summer) . Her new eighteen- track album features amazing artists like PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jhene Aiko, Drake, and Bryson Tiller. It’s safe to say that Walker gave us enough tracks to be in our feelings this Fall!
The name Over It, sounds like the breakup anthem of eternity. The combination of the songs predominantly hints that the artist is annoyed with a past relationship and is considering getting her groove back. Songs “Off Of You”, "Drunk Dialing...LODT," and the title track itself “Over It” that seemingly confirms it. Other songs such as “Potential” and "Stretch You Out," point to flirtation and maybe more from romantic situations to come ( she now found love with producer London on da Track irl !) (and possibly more) on the horizon. In addition to Drake, Tiller and Aiko, and PARTYNEXTDOOR, Usher, 6LACK , and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie are also featured . That's a lot of talented vocalists and melodic satisfaction all on an album!
Moreover, Walker and 21 Savage were featured on Aiko’s Triggered ( Freestyle ) Remix that dropped earlier in the month.
