NYFW: Christian Cowan Brings Glam With A Comedic Luxe Spin

Christian Cowan, holding together the Manhattan-ness of the American fashion industry released a film of 30 seconds. The opening had a voiceover from Saturday Night Live Comedians, Bowen Yang and Chloe Fineman featuring people from the legendary SNL crowd, and the celebrities that form the backbone of NYC. Tracing from the dormant comic spin in fashion, the collection was glamorous. The pictures were from the world of today; a socially distanced soiree in the quintessential NYC spirit.

Directed by Matthew Frost, the video wraps a nostalgia of the new normal, with the A-list stars on white sheets fashionably performing their everyday chores. The music is catchy and the Saturday Night Live stars are seen prancing in the hotel, in all spaces from kitchen to the elevator. The dresses were filled with sequin and pop shades, a lot of sparkles and a lot of New York. The jaw dropping moment was when Paris Hilton appeared in the video, adding “just be yourselves”
