Badgley Mischka Transport Us To The Fab Golden Years With Their AW20/21 Collection
Mark Badgley and James Mischka brought the heat in their Fall/Winter 2020 show. The two Parson alums are well known for creating luxurious evening gowns, and boy did we see some beauts! Many of us know Badgley and Mischka from their signature red carpet looks, however, the runway gives us a glance at their most unconventional pieces. The English inspired show captivated the audience with timeless gowns, embellished trench coats and a fringe filled poncho. I mean, who doesn’t love a little Downton Abbey and Beatles flair? Let’s dive into some of these incredible 60s and 70s inspired creations.
Amigas, Cheetahs…you know you want to sing along
NYFW is anything but ordinary, and this ensemble truly cultivates the spirit of the shows. Would you believe me if I said floral and cheetah mesh well together? Well, here is your visual proof. The model struts with purpose in a draped robe-like trench coat and checkered pants. Even her patterned collar fits the theme. I think I’m ready to see a popped collar (or two) in this show.
Office wear, but make it fashion Starry Night – a look so good you might have to do a double take
Imagine owning an outfit so versatile that you can wear it to events AND to your 9-5 job (this may be an exaggeration)! This wrap-front tuxedo pantsuit is so glamorous that you may need to do a double take. I also love the model’s bad ass short hair look – truly a vibe.
A mixture between Downton Abbey and Gatsby
This beautiful 1920’s inspired dress portrays a time of flapper dresses and World War I. Beading is intricately placed throughout this ankle length, cream colored dress. All I have to say is… I wish I was this model. If I ever had the privilege of wearing such an elegant dress, I don’t think I would ever undress. An absolutely angelic piece.
