Complete Guide To Epic, and Budget Friendly Bachelorette Party Destinations: East Coast Edition
Let’s be honest, one of the best parts about being engaged is the bachelorette party. Letting loose with your girlfriends and making memories you may or may not want to remember, is all part of the fun. But holy sh*t, is throwing a bachelorette part expensive! While Las Vegas seems like it is the crème de la crème of bachelorette parties, it can be way out of price range.
Just because the “dream” location is out of price range doesn’t mean you have settle for staying at home. Whether you’re on the East or West, we’ve got some ideas for bachelorette party destinations that will blow your socks off (while still staying in budget)!
East Coast, Baby
Napa isn’t the only place you can go for a wine-fueled weekend. Just a few hours’ drive from NYC, Finger Lakes offers everything wine country does but for cheaper and on the East Coast.
Where to stay: The Gould Hotel
This redbrick hotel built in 1919 not only has the charm of being old without being stuffy. The rooms are elegant and stylish. The hotel is right in the middle of everything and you won’t get a better deal!
Where to eat/drink: Kindred Fare & F.L.X Table
With so many options, you probably won’t go wrong anywhere you choose in Finger Lakes. But Kindred Fare is a relaxed, locally sourced restaurant with homemade bread and amazing cocktails. If you want to do something special and have a group of 14 or less, then you’ll want to reserve a spot at F.L.X. Table. It’s one of Finger Lake’s premiere dining experiences, with only fourteen seats and no barrier between the guests and the kitchen. They take reservations six months in advance and slots fill quickly, so book it quick!
What to do:
Go wine tasting, duh. No, but really, this region is known for its winery’s so take a guided wine tour, or if you want to go a cheaper route, enjoy the public wine tour on a trolley! If you go in the Spring or Summer, then you and the girls might want to enjoy some hiking or horseback riding to exercise off the hangovers. If you go in the fall, then you’ll get to experience the beautiful fall foliage.
Nashville, TN
With countless bars and live music everywhere, it’s a hot spot for bachelorette parties and a good time.
Where to stay: Stay Alfred SoBro
There lots to choose from, but prices can go up quick. Alfred SoBro is a trendy boutique lodge in downtown Nashville. If you want to splurge a little (but not too much) then Stay Alfred 505 are sleek apartment hotel rooms. There’s also a salt water pool and a chic bar, so a win-win.
Where to eat/drink: Party Fowl, Butcher & Bee, L.A. Jackson
Whether you’re looking for classic southern food or some live music to enjoy while you eat, Nashville has got you covered. Cure your hangovers with fried chicken sandwiches and adult milkshakes at Party Fowl, enjoy locally sourced cuisine at the foodie favorite Butcher & Bee, and toast the bride-to-be at this rooftop bar with gorgeous views and a live DJ.
What to do:
If you’re looking for a fun, drink-filled weekend, you’ve come to the right place. Head to Pinewood social to a game of bowling. Enjoy a burlesque performance at Skull’s Rainbow Room, and end the night (or more likely begin the morning) bar hopping on Broadway.
Savannah, GA
Instead of heading to New Orleans for some bachelorette fun, pick Savannah. It’s cheaper, more beautiful and oh yeah, did I mention the open container law? Yeah, you can carry a to-go cup of alcohol with you and it’s legal.
Where to stay: Holiday Inn in Savannah’s Historic District
The Holiday Inn in Savannah’s Historic District will be your best bet on cheaper prices and great locations. From here you can walk to anywhere in the city. But, in Savannah, your best bet will be to get an Airbnb. Not only can you choose the perfect size for your party, but you’ll probably get to stay in a beautiful historic home right in the middle of everything.
Where to eat/drink:
Where don’t you eat in Savannah, is the question. You can’t go wrong, but there are some places you’ll want to write down and make sure you hit. Collins Quarter is the place to be for brunch (if you can’t finish your mimosa, don’t worry, they have to-go flutes). Mrs. Wilkes is the best southern food in Savannah, but make sure you get in line early because they only serve lunch from 11-2 pm Mon. – Fri. And don’t forget to head to the Peregrine bar for drinks on the rooftop, and stunning views of all of Savannah.
What to do:
Savannah can really be what you make of it. If you want to jump on a pedal pub and then bar hop after, you got it. If you want to get away for a relaxing beach day, head 20 minutes down the road to Tybee Island. Or if you want to do something out of the box, take a haunted ghost tour with your gals.
Austin, TX
Offering amenities of cities like Brooklyn and LA but without a big-city markup, Austin is an ideal bachelorette party destination in a budget.
Where to stay:
Splurging on the hotel accommodations are what you’ll probably want to do in Austin. But if you spend a little more, the hotels are pretty sweet. ARRIVE East Austin is a contemporary hotel with bright rooms and a restaurant, 2 bars and a café. The Guild Music District Red River St hotel has music-inspired apartment hotels, and an awesome outdoor pool.
Where to eat/drink:
This city has food to appease everyone’s cravings in your bachelorette party. Enjoy Mexican classics while you sip on margaritas at Fresa’s Chicken al Carbon, get southern-style food before hitting the bars at Ranch 616, and sip and sing-along while musicians play your favorite songs at Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar.
What to do:
No matter what the bride wants to do, Austin will probably have it. If she wants to shop, take the party over to South Congress for cute boutiques and a postcard view of Austin. Or maybe she wants to drink and sing karaoke, so take her to The Highball for a private karaoke room. Or, if you want to give everyone a laugh, make a reservation for a baby goat yoga class with GOGA!
