How To Eat Lots of Chocolate on Valentines Day, Completely Guilt Free

Sure, Valentine’s Day is about love, but it’s also about chocolate! Whether you’re with that special someone, hanging out with friends, or indulging in some self-love, can you really say that you celebrated the holiday without a box of chocolates, a slice of chocolate cake, or at least a single Hershey’s Kiss? I, personally, think not.

Indulging in chocolate doesn’t have to mean risking packing on the pounds or being tempted by that giant chocolate heart every time you walk by it, though! We’ve rounded up five of our favorite healthy chocolate desserts so you can indulge to your hearts content without any of the guilt! Win, Win.

Heartbeet Chocolate Cake

This cake is gluten free AND dairy free!! It implements beets (I know, just trust us!) which imparts a beautiful reddish hue, which is very on-brand for Valentine’s Day. The beets also make the cake extremely moist, so you don’t miss out on all the fat and carbs. (Recipe here)

Raspberry Coconut Butter Cups

I’m a total sucker for the raspberry + chocolate combo. These are only 3 ingredients!! They’re super easy to make and fun to eat and you can make a big batch to share with those you love (or hoard to yourself, we won’t judge). (Recipe here)

Salted Dark Chocolate Tahini Fudge

I’m allergic to peanuts, so I LOVE tahini as an alternative for its creamy, nutty taste. This fudge is the perfect blend of salty and sweet and the texture is amazingly fudge-like! (Recipe here)

Chocolate-Avocado Pudding

By using avocados, this pudding is extremely rich and creamy, despite being vegan! We promise you won’t taste the avocado, which is masked by the dreamy chocolate flavor. It’s absolutely decadent and completely guilt-free. (Recipe here.)

Dark Chocolate Bar

This four-ingredient recipe makes perfect guilt-free chocolate bars. It uses raw cacao, which I swear by – it’s cocoa powder that hasn’t been roasted, meaning it retains more of the health benefits of chocolate, like high levels of antioxidants, iron, and magnesium. You can also turn this into a chocolate bark recipe by adding your favorite dried fruit, nuts, or other toppings! (Recipe here)

Whether you want to spend some time making a rich and indulgent cake, or whip up a quick chocolate bar, we promise these recipes won’t disappoint. We hope you love these healthy recipes as much as we do! As the saying goes, why fall in love when you could fall in chocolate?
