Awkward To The 10th Level: Married At First Sight - Season 8 - Episode 3 Recap
The third episode of Married at First Sight offered viewers exactly what was expected: a ton of awkward moments between the newlyweds and their families. The first few moments of the show started off on the moment that Luke realized he had met his future bride three weeks prior when she attended one of his speed dating events. Kate seemed too swept up in the moment to realize what happened, or so she said… Anyway, Luke chose to focus on this fact, the world will never know why, and couldn’t relax until he told her after the ceremony. To make the already awkward situation worse, once Kate’s memories of him magically came back, she recalled that he emailed her the NIGHT BEFORE THEIR WEDDING to invite her to a speed dating event. Their reception basically had awkward written all over it. Luke even refused to kiss his bride even when the entire room was clinking their glasses. Kate on the other hand, was liking her new husband, and trying to come up with every excuse possible, to validate his strange behavior. News flash Kate….you’re in for a bumpy ride!
The other wedding that was shown on this episode was Kristine and Keith’s. As soon as the doors opened to reveal the bride, Kristine’s garter decided to make a run for it. If you thought that this situation couldn’t get any more awkward then you are in for it because her father attempted to put it back in place…yup you read that correctly. Once everything was back where in place, the two laid eyes on each other, but it seemed from the start that they had other things on the mind. They couldn’t keep their hands, or mouths, off of each other. When Kristine’s brother and father pulled Keith aside, they let him know right from the jump that his feelings don’t matter, their talk explains why Kristine is used to be calling “Queen”. Keith was not too impressed considering he was raised by mainly women who “spoiled him”, what man uses the word “spoiled” to describe themselves?!? Anyway, these two seem to be more in lust then love, but who knows where this will lead.
As for the other two couples nothing memorable really happened. AJ and Stephanie seem like they have a lot of potential, the constant locking lips is a good sign that they at least have a physical connection. All kidding aside, AJ had a very heartfelt moment with his new in laws where they expressed their appreciation for him. These two seem like they will be okay as long as Stephanie doesn’t get annoyed with AJ’s constant joking. Hopefully he can be serious when it counts, like in the bedroom. Jasmine and Will’s chemistry seemed to dwindle a little bit as the reception went on, but they remained close to one another. Yet another awkward moment arises when Jasmine’s dad whispered something in Will’s ear, and we are pretty sure it wasn’t a proclamation of love.
We will have to wait next week to find out which bride gave it up on the first night and who slept alone for yet another night!
