Saudi Crown Prince meets with Khashoggi's son and calls the killing "A Heinous Crime"
It’s honestly a tragedy that journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s case has not been put to rest yet. His son not only had to come face to face with the possible murderer of his father, and not punch this a-hole in the face, but now one of the most influential countries in the world has taken sides with Saudi Arabia.
That’s right: Trump has publicly sided with Saudi Arabia. All for an agenda. I swear, this story just keeps getting worse and worse. For all you babes still not in the know, this is the one story you need to dig into. I’ve written a story about it, but you also need to check out other news sources as well, because there’s some major conspiracies out there.
Here’s a recap: Jamal Khashoggi, a former Saudi Arabian resident and vocal criticizer of its government, was seen walking into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2nd and was never seen alive again. The crown prince of Saudi Mohammad bin Salman at first denied any knowledge of the murder, then claimed it was an accident. Turkey immediately called BS after getting their hands on incriminating evidence, but Saudi still claims innocence.
And now Trump agrees with them because he wants the oil prices to stay low. Here’s his most recent tweet regarding oil prices.
There are a lot of accusations floating around the internet that Trump only sided with Saudi Arabia so that they wouldn’t get upset and raise oil prices, which they threatened to do when this whole thing started. Many other countries like Turkey, cut all ties with Saudi Arabia and denounced them until Mohammad bin Salman came clean about Khashoggi’s death. But Trump and his administration not only has close ties with Saudi Arabia for oil, but they also sell Saudi an absurd amount of firearms to fuel the war in Yemen.
Many officials have urged Trump to cease selling said firearms, but Trump has refused to do so. Now he just posts encouraging tweets to Saudi Arabia in the hopes that they keep oil prices down.
Buckle up for another conspiracy-ish idea babes, because some experts think that won’t even matter in the long run. We’re in the midst of a global oversupply of oil which is why the prices dropped so low in the first place. It is not in Saudi Arabia’s interest to keep the oil prices low because, well duh, they’re making less money per barrel of oil. Supposedly, Saudi is pushing to get prices back above $60 a barrel, so they’re contemplating either cutting down on production or halting it for a while. Both of these plans would jack up oil prices back to where Saudi wants them.
There are just a few things holding Saudi back. Well, maybe just one. Trump just seems to like them so darn much. Saudi is afraid of pissing off the one person spitting out positive tweets about them. If oil prices go up, Trump might not be so forgiving of Saudi’s crime so they’re trying to keep him happy.
Smelling fishy to you? Yeah, others can smell it too.
Several people have done their research (and by research, apparently that just means a quick Google search) and found that we don’t even need to keep out ties with Saudi Arabia. Only 9-11% of our oil comes from them. The majority of our oil comes from Canada at a whopping 40%.
