YouTuber Fakes Bali Vacation with Photoshoot at IKEA....Genius or Shame On Her?

Natalia Taylor has over 300,000 followers on Instagram . She is known for her pranks, Zingers, and anecdotes on YouTube. But a faux trip to Bali has to be her biggest heist yet. Taylor stated, “ Being a YouTuber, I find humor in everyday life” So she gets gussied up, heads to her local IKEA store,  and has a full blown photo shoot in all of the staged rooms. 

That happens to be, the smartest thing I think I ever witnessed. Do you know how hard it is to find places to shoot?! The smart tech people have built apps to help you find instagrammable locations… but we overlooked IKEA….it’s all staged! Taylor tried to make this a “ teaching” moment when she revealed her trickery on YouTube, stating that this was a social experiment to see how gullible her followers were. Which as a non-follower, has me question her authenticity as a person.

But listen, this was a good idea and she did it for likes. She found her angles and they were fully furnished. 

The only reason it worked was because a trip to Bali fits her M.O. No one would second guess the young influencer’s vacay to Bali, and why should we?! I just wonder why she revealed this movie magic. Trust and believe Natalia has other tricks of the trade that she’s been using to build her name. So, why reveal this one? Was there a legal issue? Fear of being revealed by someone else? I think there’s more to this, but I will just give her props and recognition for pulling a fast one. * sips tea*
