A Close Look At How Women Are The Pavers For a Positive Future.... #WeRunTheWorld
Not to brag, but women are pretty effing amazing. We make things taste good, we make things look good, we ultimately make the world go round. Not only do we maintain the human population by being the vessel used for admittance to this earth, but we do it on maternity leave with intentions of going back into the workforce after such a tremendous act has been done. The modern-day woman is working hard, and looking good while doing it. Icons like Beyonce have created a platform for women empowerment through songs like “ Run the world” and “ single ladies” Beyonce was the voice for all of us who are tired of the bullshit. Because of the likes of Maxine Waters, Michelle Obama, and Hilary Clinton, women today and of younger generations are taking the reigns of how business will be conducted with our opposite counterpart very seriously. We don't have to take any inequality, while sitting down with our legs crossed.
Our voice will be heard. There's no room for catcalling, harassing based on what we may wear, or pay gaps. We are busting through glass ceilings and making sure those who try to oppress us feel the shards of glass. ( a little dark but you get my point) We are not playing around thanks to what I like to call the “ Beyonce Era”. Women are synchronizing to one mind and what I'm picking up on my female antenna is, we are doing it better, we need more power, and bring snacks.
What does this empowerment look like? Good question, I am so glad you asked. There have multiple movements springing up to bring awareness to the Women's roar: The #metoo movement; highlighting the unity in the experience of women of color and alike. This stand impacted society as a whole. Sexual harassment was something you took to your grave until that movement started to shed light on the volume of similar attacks happening everywhere.
Another movement covering the same topic of sexual assault was the Slutwalk. Curated by celebrity personality, Amber Rose and lets be honest she's not “Sara Palin polished’’ for politics, and yet through her tunnel of influence the walk created an energy that indicates women should be able to wear what they want with no fear of being “too sexy” In retrospect this walk proved how much suppression the female mind is under where we are having to think twice before wearing certain outfits. In blunt wording, we are trying to avoid any sexual harassment before we even leave the comfort of our own home. Its a polarizing experience for men, they don't have any worries of attacks based on what they wear. Amber along with other women in diverse industries shined a light to the women's experience. They created the manifesto that declared we will be seen and heard.
There are so many different organizations and movements happening that women are orchestrating, this is all leading to a strategic takeover and the time is now.
