Who Wore What?: Looks That Stood Out In The Crowd at Coachella
It’s no secret that the general population calls Coachella a fashion show instead of a music festival. Honestly - we are here for it because everyone needs some style inspo for summer. The best thing about music festivals is that we get a mix of our society and culture. Not only do we get to listen to the phenomenal artists - we get to experience the entirety of Coachella with art, music, good food, new friends and yes - fashion. So, let’s dive into who wore what at one of the hottest music festivals of the year.
Ella Mai
Ella Mai looked like an absolute angel with her all white outfit while gracing the stage. The outfit was classy, but was mixed with a fun street style vibe that worked really well together in an an unexpected, refreshing way. Wearing three silver chains amplified the look, while the sparkles in her hair gave off the finishing touch that pulled this stage outfit together.
Sabrina Claudio
A moment of silence in celebration of Sabrina Claudio’s ethereal black weightless outfit by Lisa N. Hoang. Hoang’s Instagram states her designs are created to have “a lasting impression.” We can easily say Hoang nailed it when it comes to this flawless design. To finish this outfit off, Sabrina Claudio paired this sexy design with a chunky black heel and classy top bun.
Anna Lunoe
Australian born DJ, songwriter, vocalist and producer graced the stage in a floor length red kimono. The back, side sleeves, and front of the kimono showed off a pink and blue flower pattern that contrasted gorgeously with the red. But her cutest styling accessory? Her growing baby bump she announced just hours before hitting the stage on Instagram! Aww.
Lauren Mayberry
Phenomenal frontwomen of CHVRCHES, Lauren Mayberry really brought it on not only the music front, but with her fashion, as well. The singer wore a Yanina Couture white dress with black ribbon detailing. She paired the dress with black fishnets and platform black boots that breathed Mayberry’s signature goth style into the mix. She completed her look with Lemonhead red glitter eyeshadow that had us all in shock over how gorgeous she looked!
Kacey Musgraves
Kacey Musgraves brought Nashville straight to Coachella with her performance. She performed her set wearing a burnt orange Balmain dress paired with metallic gold heels by Stella Luna. A really fun part about the dress is the movement. While Kacey was performing on stage, the dress was dancing right along with her giving her outfit excitement and life.
Rosalía
Why, um, yes Rosalía we see you. The singer, songwriter, actress and producer wore a latex blue 2-piece with a white contrasting belly shirt during her performance. The bold chain belt is what truly makes the look a hit and pulls the outfit together. Where can we pick up our two-piece latex getup? So here for it!
Janelle Monáe
We would be so wrong to not mention Janelle Monáe on any “best dressed” list. Monáe is top tier when it comes to fashion. She likes to mix “feminine” and “masculine” qualities into her ensembles to create her iconic looks. One of her best of the weekend was this black and white body suit. The cape brings in contrasting red and gives off a royal, starpower feel.
Ariana Grande
Making history as one of only 4 women to ever headline Coachella, Ariana wore many outfits during her epic performance. One of our favorites of the night was a purple two-piece by designer Michael Ngo. The outfit mixes feminine energy with dominatrix tendencies to create a look that is both stunning and fierce. Her matching thigh high boots let’s everyone know who’s in charge. Much respect to a lady headliner who absolutely slays a performance all while wearing heels and not missing a beat!
