Solange Announces Split From Husband, Alan Ferguson

Recently , our favorite soul child Solange Knowles has decided to part ways with her husband of five years. Knowles wrote a lengthy ( and oh so heartfelt ) reflection of spirituality and the journey ahead for her .

"Early this year we separated and parted ways, (and tho it ain’t no body business 😭), I find it necessary to protect the sacredness of my personal truth and to live in it fully just as I have before and will continue to do," she said on Instagram .                                                                                                        

She married the music video director in November 2014, which was about seven  years after she divorced her first husband, Daniel Smith ( they have a son together named Julez). Their all-white wedding ceremony was held in New Orleans , and was attended by Solange's sister Beyoncé, brother-in-law JAY-Z, and singer Janelle Monae to name a few .                                                                                          

No details have been shared regarding the cause of the divorce , the separation or whether or not papers were filed.
