Lindsay Lohan Is Returning to Music… But Why?
While all of us are deep within solitude and going through a global Hiatus, Lindsay Lohan decides to peek out of her fox hole where she has been MIA for 12+ years, to drop a new Single, “Back to me.”
The upbeat pop song was produced by Mark Ralph, also written by Ralph, Alma, and Chiara Hunter under Rebublic Records. We got a taste on LILO’s social media accounts , a 30 second mystery clip with the caption, “ I’m back.”
Released on Tuesday, March 31. Lohan expressed the meaning on her platform, the song is about “Rediscovering one self.” The 3 minute melody takes a reflective look at her past and how she overcame, which is great and I respect it, but who asked for this?
It definitely catches the feel good vibes, and I’m sure there is a target audience for this sound, but I’m not a part of it. ::Honesty wave coming at you:: ——It sounds cookie cutter and genetically modified. The song was definitely produced, but not created. I don’t doubt it took a lot of work, but if the song was written by others, isn’t Lindsay only saying words?
And what is she really saying with lyrics like “ I used to blame me when sh*t got crazy/I can't think too much 'bout what they say/And now these Sundays got me feeling like Mondays/I know I drink too much, but it's OK,”
Although, I am proud of her, it was the wrong medium choice, but I fully support someone getting back to themselves and feeling good. An ‘A’ for effort for trying to spread positive vibes LILO.
