How To Nail TikTok's Glass Hair Trend
By Ella Neve
Whether you've heard of it or not, ‘Glass Hair’ is sweeping the internet as celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Hailey Beiber, Lucy Hale, Dua Lipa and more, have popularized the trend. The Glass Hair look is known for its shiny, flat appearance on pin straight hair - giving your mane a glass like appearance, hence the name. The most iconic aspect of the allure and style’s popularity comes from the mystery behind getting the look itself. Once a look reserved exclusively for Jen Atkin and clients, we have compiled a step by step guide on how to achieve the hottest spring look with ease and efficiency, giving your daily aesthetic a stylish new feature.
MUST HAVES
A Flat Iron
A Brush
Anti Frizz Product
Shine Spray
Follow These Steps
Start off with freshly shampooed and conditioned hair. Run some heat protectant and a dime-sized amount of leave-in conditioner at the tips before beginning this process.
Commence the blowout. Our tool of the season is the Dyson Airbrush because of its versatility and ease - this is not an ad, just a really great product.
After the blowout, use your brush to take a thin chunk of hair, placing your brush on your chosen piece, facing outwards.
Starting at your roots, position your flatiron above the brush and pull down, being sure to give enough time for the flatiron to fully straighten your hair.
Repeat across the entire head until you have evenly straightened out your hair. To get that desired glass edge rub a dime sized amount of Bonding Hair Oil by Olaplex onto your hair to distribute the product evenly for a hairstyle that lasts all day.
