Halloween Influencers You Have To Follow For Jaw Dropping Looks

By Sierra Roman

Halloween seems to be the favorite cousin of the chain of holidays we have from October to January. The adrenaline of nearly breaking a heel at your local haunted house, the crowds of people who gather to celebrate in major metropolitan areas like Tokyo or New York, the endless pages of spooky snack ideas on Pinterest. There’s a certain magic of it all.

But you and I both know what makes this holiday so special. The costumes! The makeup! These are the crown jewels of Halloween, after all. That’s where the real magic is! So much prep, planning and time goes into a person’s costume every year that you’d think Halloween lasted more than a month. Alas, it’s just a mere day.

There are plenty of ideas swimming around for new and exciting costumes (please throw out that Elsa costume, 2013 has been over). Still need that final push? Can’t narrow down all the character options from movies or shows? No worries! 2021 has really stepped the game up as far as looks go. And nothing showcases this more than a few of our favorite Halloween influencers serving us their scariest this year!

Sydney Nicole Addams (@sydneynicoleaddams)

Every look created by Ms. Sydney Nicole feels like she lives everyday like it’s Halloween. What a mindset! And it shows in the gothic artistry of her expertly done makeup (you know it’s good when sis has her own makeup palettes!) and gorgeous costuming. If you’re looking for something spooky yet glam, you can’t go wrong with the queen herself.

Baylee Madison (@bayleemadisonmakeup)

Another super creative makeup artist in a similar vein to Sydney (in fact they’ve collaborated before) but Baylee Madison’s use of body paint really shines in some of the most creative Halloween-inspired looks I’ve ever seen (their Disney collection, for example. I mean, how many people do you know that are going to pull up as Oogie Boogie?)

McDrew (@mcdrew)

McDrew is a versatile MUA, great for year round looks. But their specific brand of eye-catching colors and inventive patterns would work wonders for Halloween-inspired makeup. Just look at her ½ Fiona costume!

Katie Cole (@fancyflutie)

Truly a MUA that pushes the boundaries of what makeup can truly achieve. Every spooky look from Katie feels so grand, like being on the set of an A-list movie. If you want a bold look that will catch the eye of everyone in the room, check out her makeup interpretations of the Alice in Wonderland cast!

Niky (@magicparatus)

Need something a bit more casual? No problem! Niky has you covered! An avid lover of the holiday (clear from her many, many posts on the subject), you’ll leave her page positively brimming with Halloween hype!

Jack E (@baptismonfire)

If one of your favorite aspects of Halloween is the creepy energies, then Jack E is right up your alley! A fan of slasher films, grotesque imagery and otherwise disturbing things, Jack E excels in the perfect balance of fear and intrigue; through her creative looks that pay homage to the more unsettling aspects of the holiday in the best of ways.

These influencers are definitely worth checking out if you’re stumped for a good look this year! A quick visit to any of these influencers and you’ll be the talk of any Halloween party this season.
