Global Fashion Collective I: Bringing the Chic, Timeless, and Romantic Aesthetics to NYFW
It’s that time of the year again - New York Fashion Week! And on day two , I got to explore the amazing talent hosted by Global Fashion Collective. The world encompassing platform Global Fashion Collective, is participating in NYFW with four runway shows ( September 6th-10th) at Pier 59 Studios in New York City with works of inspiring, progressive, and international designers. Storytelling, romantic styles, and vintage influences are embraced in Spring/Summer 2020 contemporary womenswear. Get a glimpse of the designer’s that were showcased below!
Glaze Kohl- Classic Meets Contemporary
When seeing Michiko Ueda’s ( founder of Glaze Kohl) designs , it felt like I went back in time but with a modern twist. Her designs are timeless , chic, and contemporary as she blends city-style and comfortable monochromatic garments.
XUNRUO- Romanticized and Imaginative Chicness
XUNRUO is an independent designer brand that was created by twins Chen Ying and Chen Dan and let’s just say, the collection is everything and more. The use of bright colors, artwork, and patterns bring together a romanticism to the unlimited imagination behind fashion glory.
Jessica Chang Studio- Nature, Fashion , and Storytelling
Jessica Chang focuses her designs in nature and the comforts that come along with it. Her ability to convey a story is the signature to her elegant silhouettes and aesthetics. The pieces were so calming and dainty in the rich hues of brown, nude, and night blue.
