Inamorata: Emily Ratajkowski's Clothing Line is Anything but Appropriate
Model Emily Ratajkowski recently launched her clothing brand and it consists of suits and "work-inspired" pieces. However, none of these pieces are suitable to wear to work, unless your work place allows you to be half naked. The pieces are amazing but they are not meant to be worn in front of any boss of yours.
Being called and referred to as “sexy” may not always be a good thing, especially if it’s all you’re known for. Model Emily Ratajkowski has admitted she’s had a “complicated relationship” with being defined as “sexy”. “I also think there’s another side of me that’s like every woman, where it’s like, I’m so much more than just that,” says the model. Ratajkowski wants to redefine the beauty standards by addressing freedom of expression through her new clothing brand, Inamorata.
Inamorata is a brand that incorporates women’s “business wear”, with pieces like miniskirts that are anything but appropriate for your day at work. The label also includes the Los Feliz blazer, an oversized blazer jacket that comes in four different colors: orange, camel, black and baby blue. Think Cher from Clueless. The full set can be worn together or even mixed with other basics. “They were designed as a set, but I’ve also been loving breaking them up and wearing them with chunky sweaters and tights and big jeans,” says the model. The length of the skirt definitely contradicts the “fingertip rule” because Ratajkowski does not believe in adhering to “dress-codes”. Although her label seems to be represented as “sexy”, she wants to steer clear of that term and wants her line to represent a chic, effortless, liberated woman.
