Botham Jean's Neighbor Who Testified Against Dallas Cop, Killed Just Days After Appearance at Court
First I want to start by sharing my condolences with both the Jean family and now, the Brown family. I write this with a heavy heart and flustered conscience. To give a quick run down on the story, a young black male, Botham Jean was shot dead in his living room by a former cop, Amber Guyger on the pretense she believed she was in her apartment and Botham was an intruder.
One of the neighbors, Joshua Brown, came forward with his recollection of what happened and testified in court. Last Friday, days after the conviction, Joshua Brown was found dead. The cause of death was drive by, and he died at the hospital from multiple gunshot injuries. A predictable response is to take it for what it seems; a former government employee got nailed, there is a witness with more incriminating evidence that would be a liability, so the math is simple. But there's something missing here that I can't quite put my finger on... ah yes, how do you mistake your own apartment? Asking for a friend. Because I know we all walked up to the wrong car before we tried our key fab and it didn't work, retaliation would not be break through the driver window and steal the car. So I extremely perplexed at this story and how it continues to unravel.
