At-Home Yoga Videos That Will Have You Lean, and Looking Fine, In no time!

I love doing yoga. It’s an amazing way to workout, tone your body, relieve stress, and meditate, all wrapped up into one convenient little bundle. The movements all flow together beautifully and it involves tons of stretching, which is my favorite! However, going to yoga classes can be tough. With the average yoga class charging around $12-$16 per class, the costs add up! I’m lucky to live near a by-donation yoga studio, meaning you can pay as little as you want or even nothing at all, but that gets overwhelming because, surprise, lots of people attend those classes and they quickly get crowded and stuffy. That’s why I decided to take my practice into my own home.

I used to do yoga alongside videos in college and I loved them. My roommate and I would move our coffee table out of the way, unroll our mats, and then laugh at each other as we tried to get into each position. It was a nice bonding time for us, despite how awful the videos were. So when I decided to pick back up with at-home yoga, I decided to do a little more research to find the best yoga videos out there. I use Amazon Prime (not an ad), since they have a huge catalog of all sorts of workout videos. Here are my favorites:

Yoga forBeginners: Poses for Strength, Flexibility and Relaxation

This is the ultimate video if you’re looking for a serene, meditative practice. It’s for 100% beginners, meaning it’s very slow-paced. However, that’s not to say it’s not a good workout; I would consider myself above a beginner level and I still felt sore the day after doing this one! This video was shot on a lake-front, so the setting is beautiful and relaxing. It’s the longest video on this list clocking in at just over an hour, but if you have the time and are looking to wind down and “find your center,” I recommend it.

30 Days of Yoga to a New You

This is a series of 30 different videos to complete over the course of 30 days but I’ll be honest, it looks be closer to two months. I love this series because it covers so much, from flexibility and various breathing exercises, to the really difficult yoga poses, like crow and various handstands. Jess Timsit is a great instructor, who is bubbly and clearly LOVES what she does. Each video runs about 20-30 minutes long, so it’s the perfect morning wake-up routine for me. The series is well-paced, so you’ll have a couple of really intense days followed by a slow meditative one where you focus on your breathing. After completing the 30 videos, I think it’s safe to say you’re a true yogi.

Quick Yoga Workouts for Weight Loss & Toning: Season 1

If you’re looking for a super quick workout session before going to work, these videos are perfect. There are three of them ranging from 10-20 minutes long and each focus on different topics, from abs to weight loss to morning yoga. They’re fun and quick, so you could even string all three of them together for a solid 40-minute practice.

Yoga for the Inflexible

My favorite part of yoga is how it helps increase flexibility. I love to stretch and have my heart set on being able to do the splits at least once in my lifetime. If you have similar dreams, or are just looking to increase your flexibility so you can deepen your yoga practice, this four-episode series is perfect. It’s slow-paced and each video focuses on something different: Spine, Chest & Shoulders, Legs & Hips, and an episode called Energize, which is a great way to wake up and start your day in the morning.  The videos range from 15-20 minutes long, so they’re great to tack on to other workout routines.

These are some of my favorites that I’ve tried, but there are thousands of options out there! So turn your TV-watching time into a productive work-out and find your inner yogi. Do you have a favorite workout video? Pop it in the comments, I’d love to try it out!
