What Are the Most Comfortable Clothing Brands To Look For Post Pandemic?

By Betti Halsell

Comfortable clothing bridges the real world and the enchantment of your bedroom. Being comfortable throughout the day, keeps you going--throughout the day. That is why we rounded up some of the top brands to look out for when it's mandatory to leave your room, but not mandatory to be completely out of your comfort zone.

For or against the vaccination, the energy of the world opening back up is upon us. No one can go another year being hermit crabs. The global pandemic puts all of us in social hibernation, and the evolution of getting dressed is coming. So we must enjoy the first walk into the new social structure, partake in the sweatpant dress code until we get our sea legs, riding the waves of every trend.

Brands like Joah Brown, Mate, and Cold Laundry are the perfect contemporary labels that look to combine a chic style to the plush feeling we have grown accustomed to wearing in our lounge clothes 24/7.

Joah Brown

First on the list is Joah Brown, they represent sweats with the style, attitude, and the price to live in the city of Los Angeles. The collections are a  great investment if you still want to look polished but feel plush. The brand is named after the designer, Joah Brown, and she was inspired by her husband's closet.

His closet was filled with baggy sweats, oversized, tees, that any 90s inspired sporty spice tomboy girl would want to drape herself in. The brand was established in 2014. The Joah Girl “is put together but also comfortable, her clothing represents her versatility. This girl pays attention to quality and detail, while staying humble about her dopeness.”

Aviator Nation

Inspired by the 70s era, Aviator Nation looks to produce good vibes. As a California lifestyle brand, they carry distressed hoodies, sweat pants, and believe that it is possible to live the dream life while feeling like you're on a cloud. Euphoric comfort. Aviator Nation prides themselves on the quality of the product, they want to create a brand that reflects the peaceful waves and warmth of the beaches in the golden state. Their motto: Live. Love. Fly.

Mate

The Mate clothing brand dives deeper into the comfort of the clothes, they look at the comfort of the world. Mate is a globally conscious label that looks at the carbon footprint of their products.Using Organic cotton to combat the use of conventionally grown cotton that uses pesticides and has a higher water intake than organic.

Mate did the research and found ways to keep their conscience comfortable too. The product is also locally produced in Los Angeles. In addition to be mindful of the clothing, the packaging has been considered too; they use 100% recycled materials for shipping mailers and boxes.

Cold Laundry

Taking a break from the west coast, we head across the pond to London and convert from dollars to pounds. Cold Laundry is well worth the conversion with the sleek modern look, keeping comfortable, cool, and chic, all wrapped up in a nude sharpa cloaked jacket.

Cold Laundry was founded in 2019, by Ola and Cerise Alabi. Their motto: “Escape the noise.” Their brand stands for reflecting a calm that is attainable in the mind, if you escape the demands and weight of the world.
