These Beauty Trends Are Dominating NYC, and We're Obsessed
If there’s one thing that I love about living in New York is that I’m on the pulse of everything. For the most part you can come here and see what’s on trend, what’s not, and what’s coming up in fashion. But don’t count us out for beauty just yet. I feel like we have an eye for beauty trends just like fashion and there are 3 that can be spotted everywhere from Soho to Harlem.
Bold Eyeliner
Remember when we talked about this a few weeks back? I first saw it making it’s main stream debut here at the top of the year. The colors with the most traction right now are white, green, and orange. If you have fair skin, brights like pink, royal blue, and purple are winners for you. For deeper skin, the world is your oyster because literally any color will pop off those melanin lids. (click images to shop)
Barrettes
You’ve seen your favorite bloggers and Youtubers pop up with your childhood accessory. And the NYC girl have caught on as well. Keep your hair from your glossy lips this summer with every variation of clip imaginable. My favorites I’m seeing right now are marble and pearl adorned barrettes. Glossy Lips
Speaking of glossy lips, get to shining sis. I personally have always preferred a gloss over lipstick. The girls from all boroughs are rocking the glossy lips. And also, who really has the time for lipstick touch ups these days? A clear gloss is obviously a staple. Colourpop for the win again with so many shades as well if you want to stock up.
