Stores That Give Back To Good Causes With Every Purchase

By Claudia Langella

Nothing feels as good as giving a gift except for giving back to those who need it the most! Now more than ever, nonprofits and charities need our help, and luckily a bunch of our favorite brands see the need to give back too.

Kill two birds with one stone by shopping at these stores who give back year round and during this holiday season. The best way to spread holiday cheer—other than singing loud for all to hear, of course—is to give a little extra time or money to those who need it more than you. Check out the places below for gifts that give back!

On Femme By Lindsey’s Kloset

On Femme by Lindsey’s Kloset carry some of the hottest brands—think LoveShackFancy, Luv Aj and Frankie’s Bikinis. Whether you’re looking to gift super trendy accessories to your bestie or yourself, On Femme is the place to shop. Plus, 10% of their annual sales are donated to breast cancer research and patient care.

Honest Co.

Jessica Alba’s natural baby and beauty brand has given back over 20.6 million products to communities in need since 2012. The company’s Honest to Goodness campaign partners with organizations like Baby 2 Baby, the Wayfarer Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House to provide those in need with great products for mom and baby.

Conscious Step

Conscious Step sells socks that give back to a number of different causes—and they’re really cute to boot! Simply select a cause and pick your favorite design. Koala socks conserve rainforests with the help of Conservation International. Other charities that Conscious Step support include: St. Jude’s Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, Malaria No More and UNAIDS. There’s something for everyone on your nice list!

The Tote Project

Two best friends founded the Tote Project back in 2013 with the goal to help trafficking survivors across the globe. Right now they’re using 100% of their sales to buy Christmas presents for the survivors they support. Totes and pouches come in a number of beautiful designs that anyone would love to sport on their trip to the farmers market.

Azura Bay

If you’re looking for a new intimates boutique, look no further than Azura Bay. They’re an ethically conscious and sustainable company that only stocks brands that share their values—like Cosabella, Organic Basics and Only Hearts. At checkout, they encourage customers to give back by choosing to donate to the World Wildlife Fund, Because I am a Girl or the Nature Conservancy of Canada.

Aurate

Jewelry might be your go-to gift for every occasion, but are the pieces you give always meant to last a lifetime? They should be! At Aurate, all materials are ethically sourced and pieces are fairly priced so every budget can access fine jewelry. With every purchase made, Aurate gives a book to the Mastery Charter schools in Philadelphia and Camden because “those who do good sparkle more.”

Skylar

Clean fragrance is at the heart of Skylar’s brand, but so is giving back. The Skylar team donates their time (and proceeds) every year by volunteering and mentoring with Step Up, a nonprofit providing mentors to underprivileged high school girls around the US. Their new line of clean hand sanitizers would make the perfect stocking stuffer this year!

Wildfang

All the badass women in your life need a gift from Wildfang. From fun accessories to quirky gifts, they have so much to choose from, and your dollar is going toward something good. Throughout the year, they partner with a number of charities that support WOC and LGBT+ women, and right now they’re giving $5 to the National Domestic Violence Hotline with every purchase made. What are you waiting for? Get shopping!
