ICYMI: Japanese Skincare Brand, Uruoi's US Launch Event
Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few years, you know that we have had A LOT to learn from our friends in the east about skincare. They take immense pride in their 10-step skincare routines, glass skin, and luxurious essences. That’s why I am always excited when an Asian product crosses over the Pacific to give us the skincare we so desperately need. Uruoi, a Japanese brand that originally launched in 1989, just released their 10-step routine and I got a first look.
The one thing I’ve always loved about Asian beauty products is their emphasis on nurturing the skin. This line starts with a makeup remover. And this isn’t your ordinary wipe. This is a luxe and smooth cream cleanser that gently removes your makeup before you even get into the rest of the skincare. It’s easily my favorite product from the line. There is also an essence which I’ve only heard amazing things on how these can transform your skin. All six products, ranging from $28-$50, scream supple skin.
The standout star has to be the Moisture Milk. We also got a lesson on applying moisturizer which we’ve been doing all wrong. According to KoKo, as seen on Keeping up with the Kardashians, you should be pulling the skin and wrinkles taught to apply moisturizer. A little face yoga with KoKo and my skin was loose and limber and ready for my moisturizer. The line launched here on 8/1 and is available online as well as in a few select retail stores. Visit Uruoi for a full list of retailers.
