Denver's Best Date Spots For the Romantic, Adventurers, and Casual Daters

Coming up with new date night ideas can be tricky. Sure, taking your date to a local restaurant is fun, but if you take a new (or old date) there all the time, it gets boring. Add some spice in your life and impress your date! And if you live in Denver, Colorado, then I mean come on…you have no excuse for going on a boring date.

There’s a billion types of date ideas and places in Denver. Romantic? Casual? A date with a view? You want it, you got it. And with Valentine’s Day coming up, you’ll definitely want to be taking some notes and making reservations (or dropping hints).

Night of Romance

Beatrice and Woodsley

This restaurant located on South Broadway is, by design, romantic. The restaurant is inspired by the love story of a winemaker’s daughter and a lumberjack, and the space is designed to resemble a cozy cabin in the woods with aspen trees scattered throughout. I mean, their logo is a heart with an arrow through it. It doesn’t get much more romantic than that.

88 Drive In Theater

Although closed right now for the winter, this is a date night you’ll want to keep in your back pocket when the weather warms back up. Located in Commerce City, this is the last remaining original drive-in theater in the Denver Metro area. Make sure to bring plenty of blankets, pillows and money to spend on snacks at the historic Snackbar, and get ready for some serious cuddles.

Fun and Casual Date

Urban Putt

Mini golfing is always a good date idea. But glow in the dark mini golf that also has a bar and restaurant? Probably the best date idea ever. Located in Lodo, the 18-hole mini golf course is crazy fun and the perfect place to laugh and let loose with your date.

1Up Arcade Bar

If you want to get retro, then head down to 1Up in Lodo. This bar is stocked with classic video games and pinball. Oh, and a bar full of booze, of course. Bring a shit-ton of quarters so you can share with your date, and let the games begin!

Daytime Date

Red Rocks Hike

Red Rocks Park is right outside of Denver and the perfect place to take a hike for an outdoorsy date. Red Rocks Park is also home to Red Rocks Amphitheater, an open-air amphitheater built right into the rocks, making it the coolest concert venue in the history of ever. Take in the view of downtown Denver at the top of the theater before heading on your hike with your sweetheart. And don’t forget to take pictures!

Hammond’s Candy Factory Tour

If your date is seriously sweet or has a serious sweet tooth, then bring them to Hammond’s Candy factory for a free tour! Located just outside of downtown, this daytime date is easy to get to and easy on the wallet, but still a very fun time! Watch how Hammond’s has been making their candy since 1920 and share some tasty treats with your date after the tour is done.

Food Adventure

Avanti Food and Beverage

If you really want to impress a foodie, you have to bring them to Avanti for a date. Located in LoHi, this place has it all. Known as a collective eatery, it has seven culinary options to choose from. Try food from one, or try a little something from all seven, no matter what, you won’t be disappointed. Did I mention it has an amazing view of downtown Denver too?

Delicious Denver Food & Beer Tour

If you want to see a little art in between eating food, then take your date on this fun food tour! On this three-hour food and beer tour, you’ll explore the RiNo Arts District and taste some of the best bites and locally brewed beer. With your tour guide leading the way, you can relax and experience new foods and drinks with your date!
