Q & A With Alexis

EKLEXIC was created by your love for fashion and luxury, but without formal training, was it difficult to get established? Why or why not?

Yes, it was difficult. Starting EKLEXIC without formal training in fashion and business presented many challenges. I made many mistakes but learned from them and applied the knowledge from each mistake to learn and grow. Ultimately, my passion and determination helped me.

You started a consulting company before starting your venture in fashion. Did it make it easier to run EKLEXIC? How so?

Yes & No. It made it easier to establish the foundation for Eklexic, like establishing the tax ID and incorporating, buying the website domain, setup email. However, the businesses overall were completely different, so the needs to get up and running were not similar.

Versatility, sustainability, and affordability describe your products; who is your target audience, and how does that influence the type of jewelry you make?

Our commitment to versatility, sustainability, and affordability guides our product offerings. Our target audience includes individuals who appreciate high-quality jewelry that aligns with their values of sustainability and affordability. This influences the type of jewelry we make by ensuring that our designs are timeless, versatile, and crafted with eco-friendly materials, making them accessible to a wide range of consumers who seek both style and sustainability in their accessories.

Fashion being a lifelong passion, are you happy with the results of your company's progress since its founding? What has been the biggest accomplishment with the brand thus far?

Fashion has always been a lifelong passion, and I envisioned being a part of this industry since I was a child. I’m thrilled with the progress our company has made since its founding. One of our biggest accomplishments has been establishing EKLEXIC as a recognized brand known for its commitment to individuality, quality, & sustainability. Seeing our designs worn and loved by our customers worldwide is incredibly rewarding and motivates us to continue pushing boundaries in the industry.

How do you even begin to finance such a project as starting your own jewelry company from scratch?

Fortunately, I had incredible parents who understood I was meant to be an entrepreneur. I had a little bit of savings that helped fund the business initially, but my parents deserve the credit. They relieved the burden of my mortgage and other financial responsibilities so I could fully focus on establishing and scaling Eklexic.

As a company founder and owner, what do you think is your responsibility to your customers or the public?

As a company founder and owner, I believe my responsibility to customers and the public is multifaceted. It includes delivering high-quality products and services, maintaining transparency and integrity in all business practices, prioritizing customer satisfaction and feedback, contributing positively to the community and environment, and upholding ethical and sustainable standards throughout the supply chain. Ultimately, it's about building trust and fostering lasting relationships based on shared values and mutual respect.
