NYFW: Dress Dreams Do Come True at Cong Tri F/W19

Keyword for the dresses at Cong Tri F/W19: DRAMA. The extra good kind of gasps were audible from the audience with nearly every new look on the catwalk. I wasn’t sure who I dreamed of being more: a girl who gets to wear his dresses, or the girl version of Cong Tri himself, so I can say I designed them! Truly, each piece was its own masterpiece and worthy of study unto itself.

With grandeur being an obvious overarching theme, and every look a self-ruling sculptural message of its own, Cong Tri infused the collection with a few intentional feature fabrications to create unifying threads throughout. The result was an ample offering of high-fashion dresses to fulfill every glam girl’s dreams.

There’s nothing like a giant bow to exclaim, “Hello! I am here!” But bows are tricky; they can look juvenile and silly. Unless you’re Cong Tri, and you know exactly how to make a bow blend seamlessly into a dress while still proclaiming a woman’s fabulousness.
