Grammys 2019: Looks That Graced and Disgraced The Grammys Red Carpet

I firmly believe that the Grammys is the best awards show when it comes to fashion. Where celebs tend to play it safe on the Emmy’s and Oscars Red Carpet, creativity and general ‘extra-ness’ run rampant at the Grammys.  Leaving some looks to make me scream “OMG YAAAASSSS” and, others make me want to go Ted Bundy on the TV. Now let’s see the glam!

Best

Lady Gaga

Gaga served up some Rock’n’Roll realness in this Celine gown.

H.E.R

Everything from H.E.R.’s Coach number to the perfectly-parted hair & sunglasses is utterly lust-worthy.

Cardi B

This vintage Mugler dress is EVERYTHING. We STAN a queen who knows when all eyes are on her.

Jonathan McReynolds

This is the most perfect green suit I’ve ever laid my eyes on. The oversized bowtie, white pocket square, and loafers knock it out of the park.

Tayla Parx

Living for this whimsical frilly number paired with Converse.

Miley Cyrus

Miley worked an oversized Mugler blazer paired with strappy pumps with a giant “M” on the heel. ALMOST cuter than her husband.

Leon Bridges

I don’t know what to call this Western, boy scout, Texas patchy look, but I am HERE for it, tbh.

Hit Boy

PEACH. BLAZER. This look is so suave, I nearly fell off my seat.

Brandi Carlile

Yes to the dress. Yes to the stockings. Yes to the hair. Andra Day looks like if Daphne, from Scooby Doo, was in Hairspray — I truly mean that as the highest compliment.

Nina Parker

I have a total weakness for jumpsuit/skirt combos and this is no exception. Step on our necks then, THANK YOU!

Worst

Joy Villa

I’m all about using the red carpet to make a political statement, but this is as ridiculous and over-the-top as the message she’s trying to push.

Kylie Jenner

I usually love Kylie’s looks, but this fell completely flat for me. It’s baggy and cumbersome in all the wrong places. #wewantStormi

Kacey Musgraves

Is it just me or does it look like her dress is sitting too low on her? The drop-waist is completely unflattering. But work that Grammy, girl.

Meghan Trainor

I don’t like shoulder pads to begin with, and these make it look like she’s eternally shrugging. Pass.

Ashlee Simpson

Not feeling this stripey feathery look. The high waist line created by the feathers makes her legs look long, but not in a good way.

Janelle Monae

I don’t know what it is about the accentuated shoulders on the red carpet this year, but I’m having none of it. This makes her arms look GIGANTIC.

Katy Perry

I heard someone say Katy Perry looked like a Dr Seuss character here and I can’t get that out of my head.

St Vincent

I think I would love this dress if it were in a different pattern. It’s unflattering across her body and is way too short, but I otherwise love the sleeves and capey-ness.

Ashanti

I don’t know what to say about the bottom of this dress. It’s kind of what my comforter looks like when I don’t have time to make my bed in the morning.

I also HAVE to give honorable mention to Colombian singer, Andrea Echeverri, here because she dressed up as a LITERAL Grammy.
